We are looking to hold our traditional camping weekend again! This is not a car show so you can attend in any vehicle you wish although watching people pack large tents and kit into a GTO is always fun!
The birthday bash this year will be held from Thursday 3rd July - 6th July for 3/2 nights at the following venue:
The club has booked 3 electrical pitches on Swift medows to try and get us more together
FYI - you do not need to stay for the 3 nights if you have work commitments etc…
There are multiple camping options such as glamping, and hard pitches for campervans @cantfindthegenepool etc… if you want something a little different.
there is a local pub nearby and the site has a number of activities such as fishing etc…
there are on-site shower and toilet facilities.
this is a family event so please feel free to bring partners and/or other family members.
As with last year we will look to do a day out trip on the Saturday (TBC)
We will let you all know in plenty of time what we will be doing for the various evening meals and breakfast options.
How to Book
Please book the event directly via the website (link above) and follow their instructions.
we recommend you book a non-electric pitch so we can all camp together - the plan being to share the power etc… so bring your standard 16A camping power cable.
If you have any questions please do let us know.
once you have booked please add your name to the list below.
Another little reminder about this event- it’s a good chance to enjoy a relaxing weekend with a couple of beers. Remember you don’t need to bring the GTO any car will do
Just had a quick look on the campsite, it says minimum stay is 2 nights, if I just wanted to come up for Saturday night is there an option to book just 1 night do you know? Cheers.
Ok, good idea! I still don’t know if I can come up yet, got my daughters 16th bday party tonight, need to have a chat with the wife and figure out if I can escape tomorrow!
What pitches are you all on if I ring them up and see if there’s a pitch nearby?
Spoke to someone called Claire I think who just said come on up they’ll find a pitch for me, I’ll bring my son up, you’ll be surprised how much he’s grown! Will bring some beer/cider and some pot noodles to keep us going, probs won’t get there until the evening, then I think we’ll be trying to watch the Chelsea game at 2am if I can stay awake that late!
Fab, not sure we’ll need power but I’ve got a power strip with commando connector, will bring it if I remember. See you tomorrow, will be nice to catch up over a few beers. It’s been a while!
