Hi Everyone,

We are looking to hold our traditional camping weekend again! This is not a car show so you can attend in any vehicle you wish although watching people pack large tents and kit into a GTO is always fun!

The birthday bash this year will be held from Thursday 9th July - 12th July for 3/2 nights at the following venue:

The club has booked 3 electrical pitches on Swift medows to try and get us more together

FYI - you do not need to stay for the 3 nights if you have work commitments etc…
There are multiple camping options such as glamping, and hard pitches for campervans if you want something a little different.

  • there is a local pub nearby and the site has a number of activities such as fishing etc…
  • there are on-site shower and toilet facilities.
  • this is a family event so please feel free to bring partners and/or other family members.
  • As with last year we will look to do a day out trip on the Saturday (TBC)

We will let you all know in plenty of time what we will be doing for the various evening meals and breakfast options.

How to Book

Please book the event directly via the website (link above) and follow their instructions.
we recommend you book a non-electric pitch so we can all camp together - the plan being to share the power etc… so bring your standard 16A camping power cable.

Anyone not keen on camping due to toilet/showers facilities, I have to say, they upgraded the toilet showers last year and they are lovely.

As good as any hotel and even better than some.

Speaking about the ladies facilities of course :laughing:.

My thoughts exactly- I too was impressed by the toilets and shower facilities- certainly up there with your typical chain hotel facilities :+1: - and yes I’m referring to the gents :joy:

Hi All,

Hoping some more members want to try this camping weekend :+1: come for 3,2 or even 1 night it’s up to you.

It’s been great fun over the years and remember you can turn up in any car with camping gear in the back - with the beer :joy:

As always the club will do T and coffee supply’s so do remember to bring a brew cup and some usual camping supplies :joy:
