I would like firstly to say thank you to all the members on GTOUK.
It’s been another hard year for the club with the financial economical troubles, but I can say its much better than last year here. Membership is growing once more.
2012 will see a better forum as we are going to hopefully make it more approachable and modern looking. Also with a common interest from a cpl of traders, ideas they have will be great when these go live. (these will become known soon hopefully by the parties involved.
The amount of member issues/troubles on the forum this year has been very minimal, making it a more freindly place to visit.
I have been a member on here for quite a few years now and I am as passionate for the club to prosper as much now as in the beginning. This cannot be achieved without the help of you guys. so
Don’t be afraid of posting
Introduce yourself
Get yourselves to meets-arrange one
Advertise the club
Be proud to be an owner of these cars & be proud to be a member here too.
We encourage any ideas for the club advancement, don’t think nobody will be interested, all contributions are welcomed.
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2012
I can wholeheartedly stand by everything Steve has said there .
The guys who are on the committee are passionate about this club , hopefully the events over the past year have proved this .
we do have some good stuff coming and the forum will change but only for the better 8)
Projects wise , if any of you have any on going projects please please get them up and show what is going on and what can be done , Pete (r Zeeck ) this means you too
New style Club t-shirts/cups etc even if made to order would be nice.
I will help to make sure the south west meets get up and running again.
2011 has been a better year, but for me personally there still seams to be a bit of negativity and something missing, maybe slightly quiet. Not a complaint, just some fresh ideas and some fresh content, photo shoots etc could help spark some interest again. Maybe even introducing more videos etc.
I 100% believe this club can be buzzing again and have seen things getting better but it will take everyone input to make this happen and not just the committee.
With regards to what was spoken about at JAE about slightly more modern T-shirts etc i still think its a good way to go.
And hopefully the meets will start picking up again once the warmer weather returns.
I have enjoyed another year of ownership to the point i bought a second one!! and still thoroughly enjoy the banter and assistance from alot of the guys and gals on here. And i am happy to call alot of you friends, so heres to what looks to be another positive year for the club and its members!
I really do hope 2012 is the start of GTOUK bouncing back from the last few years - as with everything else we’ve all had a bit of a rough time of late, so starting 2012 on a positive note can only be a good thing!
New t-shirts would be great - all my GTOUK t-shirts are starting to look a bit old.
I agree with everything said so far but the whole sucess of the club depends on you the members cos without you there is no club, anyone wishing to arrange meets please feel free to contact myself or indeed any members of the comittee if banners or anything else are required, there are a few dotted around the country & if we can get you one for a meet then every effort will be made to do so. Dont sit there & think i wish there was a meet in my area, if thats the case then post up on here & see if you can get some like minded members to join you, we have had meets in the past with just 2 or 3 members turning up Number dont matter as much as the meet itself getting established, invite some pals around even if they drive something else, more the merrier & remember anyone can arrange a meet you dont have to be a comittee member or even an established one, you may be a newbie & just want to get involved & thats fine
Like Stevie & Craig say it would appear membership & confidence are on the way up again so lets have a cracking good 2012
