Yes your gearbox ecu and engine ecu are both behind the centre console. The gearbox ecu is further up mounted higher up looks like this

Remove the one from your working car and swap it its just a plug in see what happens could be the ecu at fault

That has got to be problem on both cars they r identical symptoms when first one went was about 3 days after I put new stereo in… N coz I had auto electrician to do it didn’t think about it till I had a light bulb moment in the night… My other half took radio out of this one to c if he could put stereo in… I wish he’d stop playing with car when I’m not there lol

Have a look at wiring to ecu for gearbox make sure it’s not been pulled or anything there are lots of wires going to it if the car is running it won’t be anything to do with engine ecu so leave that alone start there if. Try disconnecting the gearbox ecu and plugging it in again disconnect battery first :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: failing that take a step backwards and undo what you have done before fiddling with it lol

Will try that can’t do much till Saturday now… Work gets in the way of life lol
