Hello and should I?

Hello all. I’m thinking of trading my FTO for a GTO and am wondering if it’s a good idea.
I’ve stumbled across this [link removed by admin, see screenshot below] and quite like the look of it. Trouble is, I’m 6’8" and wonder if I’ll even fit. Then there’s the whole should I bit.
I like my FTO, but I also like these, so any impartial advice would be welcome.
Oh, and please, don’t anyone buy this in the meantime!

Hi @tomasbrearton, I won’t. There are some tall guys in (this sounds so wrong) the club so height shouldn’t be a problem. Read the buyers guide before looking so at least you get a ‘feel’ for these wonderful machines.

I’m 6"2 and I don’t feel cramped when driving…sink the seat and there’s loads of room

Yes you should but I’m biased , that’s an interesting site although a lot of those ads look to be very old 20 gtos…What!

If you fit in an FTO. Then you shouldn’t have a problem , the moonroof /sunroof cars though do have a slightly lower headlining than the ones without , so you may want to test drive both , failing that you could always do a @Stevie and cut the roof off like the hulk

I’ve removed the link to the swapz site and edited and inserted a screenshot in the original post.
We don’t really want to link to that site from here, it’s not been verified as a good site by any full-members.

I always know when I need a haircut as my hair gel sticks me solid to the roof.

I’m prob a good person to answer you mate as I’ve just got a gto after having a couple of ftos. The gto is a lot bigger than the fto and def feels it but that also means it has a lot more presence than the fto. I love my gto and wouldn’t go back to an fto now.

I not the tallest guy in the world but i do have very long legs. In most cars i have the seat all the way back but in the 3000GT i have quite a bit of movement behind me. Best bet is to get along to a meet and find a friendly person to let you sit in their car and get a feel for it. If you find a really friendly one they might even take you for a spin!
