Hi, newbie here with an ECU problem

Hi everybody, this is my first post on here.

I have a 1991 Mitsubishi GTO twin turbo with a failed ECU that has been tested and is beyond repair.

I was hoping if anybody with more knowledge than myself could help me source a 2nd hand or even better new ECU.

The ECU part number is: MD159964 and I’m struggling finding anything with this part number online.

Does anybody know if there are any other alternative ECUs or other options that I have to get my car up and running again?

Hi,

Welcome to GTOUK, some people including myself has used this company to fix our ecus http://www.the-ecu-doctor.co.uk/

There are some ecus about, keep an eye on the forum for sales. You can get standalone ecus for our cars but that option will not be cheap.

@gavin_naish did have a spare in his pile if he can access his garage yet lol I’m sure he will check. I wouldn’t expect it free as they are becoming hard to source now.

Ah I remember you saying that now :tired_face: I have pm’d him offering mine to test and a compression tester just for peace of mind :grin:
