I am looking for an engine

Hello guys new too this site I am looking for an engine for a 1994 gto twin turbo 6spd manual if there’s anyone willing to give advice or knows where I can pick one up that’s not in America or Australia thank .

Hi and welcome to GTOUK :sunglasses:

Have you tried the usual places , Graham’s auto world , or even a phone call to Eurospec or Evil Empire to see if they know of any ?

Craig :grinning:

Hi i check few engine on eBay.

I had bought mine from Google with 3 month warranty.

Cheers

£420 with warranty and home delivery.

I have tried Graham’s and almost everywhere no one seems too have one and now I have ran into the problem of trying too tell the difference between a mk1 and mk11 aparently the crank is different in both or something so i need too find out which one mine is

Oh and I have had one off a breaker I specifically ask for a turbo engine they said that it was yet wen its got here it’s not there seems too be some confusion among people as too what engine it is when comparing it agains my reg

Hi Williamwtsd5,
I’ve got a spare engine at the moment ,its a 1997 mk3 turbo and is still sitting in the engine bay .
I bought this car from a friend of a friend and was told the engine timimming was snap ,but when i got its home its was the auxiliary belt that was snap and not the timing belt
So I do not know the condition of the engine ,I did took out all 6 spark plug to look and its was in perfect condition. Rob at evil empire was suppose to buy it off me for 500
pound thats include him remove it too . But I’ve still not heard from rob to confirm he still wanted it . I’m gonna try and get through to him today then ill let you know bye tomorrow … thanks

Check your crank pulley . That is exactly what happened too mine we thaught it was the serpentine belt but it wasn’t it am was the pulley its self the rubber that places between the two belt splits it a well know occurs car and most of the time it jumped the timing and smashes the valves I will know the proper extent too the damage this afternoon when I get the head off

To tell you the truth I’m not really a mechanic knowledge so would not know how to check as you mention . If i knew then i would have kept the engine and would love to forge it and upgrade the lots ,but unfortunate I’m not lol.

Hi @williamwtsd5

If you join the club as a full member you will get access to the classified area where you will be able to see the for sale ads. There are a few people breaking cars so may find one there. You will also be able to post in the wanted section which will get some more interest there than in the newbie section.

You will also get access to all the technical sections which have a wealth of knowledge that is well worth the £20 membership fee.

Good luck with the engine hunt.
