I'm off for a while

Just to let you all know that you’ll have to provide your own entertainment for a week or so, moved into my own place over the weekend so can’t piggy back my son’s server anymore.
Nice Mr BT engineer not able to install landline and broadband until 5th July.

Just think of it as respite from my bad jokes-----see ya all soon

Not sure I should be left alone that long.

How long is that long… is that to long to be long enough or enough to be just long… now if was
only long enough to be just short then it wouldn’t be long but when describing it from beginning
to end is still referred to as being that long… long may the word long continue :?

Latest update on day of broadband installation (NOT)
Mr BT engineer arrives at 11am, declines offer of tea/coffee and connects his device to one of BT sockets, followed by lots of tut tutting and scratching of head. Mutters something about fault is some 350 metres away and disappears to go check up a telegraph pole down the road somewhere—probably 350 metres in my reckoning. Did’nt see him again for over an hour and a half, wondered if i should walk down the road and maybe find him lying in a heap under a telegraph pole.
But no, he returns and tells me that the line allocated to me at the outset (20th June) has now been given away by some nice person in downtown Bangalore and the “office staff” would have to re-allocate me.
All this after i paid 12 months line rental up front as part of the deal.
So at the start of my association with BT, you can well imagine that to say i am a bit miffed about still being without landline and broadband is a bit of an under-statement.
I’ve just come over to my son’s for grand daughter’s birthday so brought laptop with me to see what’s happening in our world.
I hope to be on line soon, but in the meantime------

I was having a game of poker with some people last night, one of them was a Thalidomide victim—Christ he plays his hand close to his chest
