Hi so have a couple questions,steering wallows a bit tires all good steers straight doesn’t pull either way our roads are rubbish live on isle of wight…is this common on big wide car? has a bit of whine under car is it all the spinning all wheel drive gear? clutch works very well but has a bit of sloppy free play is that common? speedo works for quite a while then stops give dash a bash then OK again last owner supplied replacement speedo drive which we have changed so looking around seems to be a dash issue.Seem to have a small gear oil weep around gearbox area can smell gear oil but no drips on ground… common? apart from that car works and looks very well,just done oil and filter going for cambelt and water pump change this week,will change plugs and rear shock boots when its nicer outside.Any adivse would be great cheers for now.
Make sure you read the belt replacement guide, saves problems in the long run

Clocks are electronic controlled so remove the surrounding plastic and there are 6 screws holding it in (could be less if its been fiddled with)
Give it a good push back into place maybe check connection as all our cars have generally had the clock cluster out at some point.
Tracking should cure drifting feeling you will need a 4 wheel alignment place for that.
Wine if from the rear mine was wheel bearings common problem.
Get your car on a ramp and check gearbox seals…thats one thing you dont want going parts for this are mega money…used good boxes are rare now…
Clutch wise loads of aftermarket clutches are used in our cars, mine is hard but has some top travel, they are hydraulic adjustment so check level and that its working properly. Hope all this helps

Hello dave thanks for all info ill look into all what you said, guy i bought off lives near me one in cowes had bonnet off my garage mate said had one in recently buggered cambelt job …engine toast there is another for sale not far from me at a car lot will have a look see as nice as mine think only 3 on island or not many more ours is very good looking we paid £2945 for it my son thinks its worth more ill put pics up soon weather not good at moment…thanks again
