So Adrian Flux is looking my best with £1,450 for TPFT…

there is Insurrance Factory who said £1,300 for just Third Party…

Just rang them and you have to be 25.

Just got a quote from them, they did take all alfternono to find someone who will insure me but :

Abseloutly brilliant !!!

34 no NCD and 9 points on a 94mk1 TT £1040 f/comp

Sorting it out with them now.

this may be a daft question ,but have you tried tesco insurance.im paying £510 fully comp.and thats protected

they quoted me £3255 and said it was because I had no NCD and 9 points for 3 SP30’s.

i’d buy a road angel/ snooper thing mate.

I have. The worst bit was that I got caught twice in a month driving my pajero, 35 in a 30 both times.

Following Ian’s post. Tesco quoted me about the same but Direct line got my business for about £30 less. That’s protected NCD, fully comp. for me and my wife. Both needed evidence of a tracker fitted but weren’t bothered about an alarm or immobiliser.

Hope you all know that protected no claims ain’t worth the paper it’s written on.

Insure your car- protect your no claims- have an accident- insurer pays up- get renual ££££££- get up of the floor- call insurer- why has my premium gone up so much even with my protected no claims bonus- it just has, would you like us to try some other insures for you- sorry best we can do is ££££££ phone around- have you had any claims/convictions in the last three years- yes but I have protected no claims- not with us you don’t- premium will be ££££££- go away and cry in a corner.

Not only did you pay more for your premium with protected NCD when you took it out, now you have to pay an inflated premium to them again cos no one else will insure you for anything like a sensible price because you have made a claim.

NCD protection only applies to the insurer you take it out with, so they have you by the short and curlys, they can inrease your premium by as much as they like. So when you try to get a quote from another company they will load you up for having an accident.

Just ask them and see!!

It’s just another way for them to get more money from you, and to keep you with them.

My insurance goes up every year, and I’ve never had a fault claim and have full NCD, I dread to think what it would go up by if I had an accident.

Don’t trust insurance comanies they don’t care about you only your money, I even got stitched up by them when someone hit me and their insurance paid for my repairs.

my other half’s car was parked outside her house (she was not in it). someone crashed into it, and her insurance has gone up because her insurer said ‘statistics have proven that anyone involved in an accident, whether it is their fault or not, is more likely to have an accident in the next year’.

its a good job i didnt speak to them on the phone as i would have gone absolutely mad.

insurance=joke

Just done my insurance with GSI as i was changing from Norwich union
cause they put my renewal up by £200 as someone made a claim near me.

They got me fully comp with business use, 5 yrs ncd protected, with 6 points (2*sp30’s) and around 15k miles per year. All mods declared. I’m 36.

£570 all in.

This was the best price I found after speaking to loads of places most were around the £680 mark

aye, GSI are the boys!!! Cheapest by a few hundred quid for me! they were spot on with me, seemed like a good set of guys.

Gotta be over 25!!! :x
