I received this via e-mail today - perhaps someone can give them a call for a quote and let us know if they are any good…
Dear japanese car enthusiast,
This is just a brief note to advise you of the superb rates & service
we can offer you & your club members.
Our quote team are capable of giving you a cheaper quotation than
any other insurer on your motor vehicle whether it is heavely modified
or as standard as the day it left the manufacturer, japanese import
or uk specification.
Following Ian’s post. Tesco quoted me about the same but Direct line got my business for about £30 less. That’s protected NCD, fully comp. for me and my wife. Both needed evidence of a tracker fitted but weren’t bothered about an alarm or immobiliser.

Hope you all know that protected no claims ain’t worth the paper it’s written on.
Insure your car- protect your no claims- have an accident- insurer pays up- get renual ££££££- get up of the floor- call insurer- why has my premium gone up so much even with my protected no claims bonus- it just has, would you like us to try some other insures for you- sorry best we can do is ££££££ phone around- have you had any claims/convictions in the last three years- yes but I have protected no claims- not with us you don’t- premium will be ££££££- go away and cry in a corner.
Not only did you pay more for your premium with protected NCD when you took it out, now you have to pay an inflated premium to them again cos no one else will insure you for anything like a sensible price because you have made a claim.
NCD protection only applies to the insurer you take it out with, so they have you by the short and curlys, they can inrease your premium by as much as they like. So when you try to get a quote from another company they will load you up for having an accident.
Just ask them and see!!
It’s just another way for them to get more money from you, and to keep you with them.
My insurance goes up every year, and I’ve never had a fault claim and have full NCD, I dread to think what it would go up by if I had an accident.
Don’t trust insurance comanies they don’t care about you only your money, I even got stitched up by them when someone hit me and their insurance paid for my repairs.

my other half’s car was parked outside her house (she was not in it). someone crashed into it, and her insurance has gone up because her insurer said ‘statistics have proven that anyone involved in an accident, whether it is their fault or not, is more likely to have an accident in the next year’.
its a good job i didnt speak to them on the phone as i would have gone absolutely mad.
