Hi All,
Just picked up this 1992 GTO TT manual on Thursday. Pretty much no service history at all so will be doing a full service ASAP. Doesn’t seem to be much underside rust but MOT has flagged corroded fuel line and rear brake lines.
I’m not very good mechanically at the moment but excited to learn. Hopefully I’ve not bitten off more than I can chew as it will be my only car for the time being.
I have already purchased membership and done some browsing of the technical sections but in the mean time was hoping if someone could give an update on parts availability as that seems to be the biggest issue. Especially now that evil empire seems to have wound down.
Look forward to meeting some of you in the future

Alistair, welcome to this amazing Club. Your car looks superb, and it looks like it’s the same colour as mine.
There are many members on his Forum who will gladly offer you plenty of info and advice about these cars, as well as guide you on how to tackle mechanical jobs. Most jobs are quite straightforward to tackle, although one or two might find you scratching your head to begin with, and that’s where our Club comes in.
Spares…you can still get some spares from Mitsubishi themselves, depending upon where you live, and your local Mitsubishi dealer address. Many of us go to various spares suppliers, including car breakers - such as Jap Attack - and you’ll find many spares from suppliers online, although ask if you’re not sure. I know many on here source spares from Rock Auto and CarDoc? as well. I’m sure we’ll be able to steer you in the right direction.
Presumably you’ve read the Buyers Guide on here about these cars, and that will get you started.
If I were you, I’d begin your ownership with the essential, basic checks, such as engine oil, gearbox oil, transfer case oil, coolant level, and hydraulic fluid levels. These checks go simultaneously with the essential cambelt inspection. If there’s no service history, then the cambelt will be a priority to get done. Ideally, you need to know about the state of the cambelt.
Whereabouts are you - there will be many other owners near you, hopefully.
Enjoy the buzz. These are amazing cars.
Even when they aren’t running, they still turn heads
Good luck, and happy motoring!
Mike
