Intro 93 3000gt VR4

Hello everyone,
Found a 1993 Vr4 that had not seen the road since 2017. She was abandoned and I had to save her. With some convincing and negotiation, it was loaded on a flat and on its way. A month in and with some fuel, coolant, and ignition system rework, im glad to announce she is running and driving. It still has details to sort out of course, but its rust free, in one piece, alive and well. Amazingly enough, active aero, all wheel steering, pop-up headlights, and air conditioning still work. One interesting quirk, 1993 radiator hoses didn’t fit. Ask me how i know. I tried. After some color language, research, and decoding the vin, I found the 8th digit engine code: K - “from 1994 models”. Followed by more colorful language and 1994 Vr4 radiator hoses, those fit. Now for all of you still here reading, thank you for your time. I look forward to any and all guidance or assistance the collective may have and is willing to offer now and in the future. Thank you for keeping the site alive. Im glad to join.

Have a great day.

Well done to you for saving another - great you clearly have some skills to tackle bits yourself.
Good luck with her…Mark

Welcome Mark,

pop up some pics of your car, we’re all interested in that bit.

Terry :sunglasses:

hello mate, if its a 3000GT uk car they have a Mk2 (94) engine

For those interested and asked, here’s some pictures. She’s far from perfect but solid. With some time and tlc… I will have her looking better.
