Hello iv been looking for a car iv thought about meny diffrent ones but non have taken my fancy. till i got looking at the gto. Iv seen one not to far from me but needs work. Iv spoke to a Japanese tuning/repair company they won’t touch it and can hardly get parts. Tbh, I’ve not found parts hard to find… But to be fair I’ve not had to buy much for repairs.
If it were me I wouldn’t buy one with any kind of engine knock…
Have a read through the buys guide on here as it may well save you a few quid…

Parts are available engine wise quite easily, or a second hand lump could be dropped into it .
Full engine rebuild wouldnt be cheap though ,if the jap specialist can’t get parts or think it’s a tough job I would avoid them in the future .
I notice it hadn’t met reserve yet though so wonder what they think it’s worth .
As for what to get that’s a tough one depends if you are after a project or a car to drive and enjoy .
Have a look at the buyers guide on the site to give you some tips , buy on condition , a bad one will run you for a lot of money putting things right

It would be a project to start off with then when its done ill keep it maybe take it to small shows and track days but mainly weekend car
