Only had the car for about 3 days and the radiator top hose decided to have an Alien moment it looks like something has burst out the side of it. Fun and games getting it back home. New radiator hoses required now to add to my list, its all good fun.
The thing is the hoses are like paper on these cars when they are getting old. My top hose went too so the whole lot are now silicone, safety in the long run

I even split a samco, had to cut it back to a good bit of hose. I suppose as a temporary measure you could always use that sticky silicon tape just to get home, they sell it in hardware stores and some independent motor retailers, that is of course providing the rest of your hose doesn’t fall to bits as you put it on.
if you have split one then have a good look at the others , give them a squeeze if they feel “crispy” inside then change them , heater matrix hoses over the top of the gearbox are well worth a look these get heat soaked quite bad , that is what killed my car many many years ago , if in doubt swap them out

Thanks Guys I have noticed the heater matrix hoses feel a bit rock solid so I guess I should change them as well, any idea of cost for the hoses for the heater matrix please Rob and do you stock them. Not too fussed about the colour as the car is black anyway.
Have them in stock and they are about £40 from memory, but that also includes special new clips to secure them so they don’t leak too

Hi Meldarren. I think I may have the old black stock top and bottom rad hoses off my 3000GT. If they are any use to you until you get your new ones, let me know and you can have them to get you out of trouble.
