[quote]The beauties of the Peugeot 306:

remove parcel shelf.
lay rear bench flat
lay rear seat backs flat
shift all the crap on to the drivers/passengers seats.
shift drivers and passenger seats as far forward as they will go
inflate airbed
lay airbed diagonally across the load space.
lay sleeping bag on top

I now have a fully airconditioned/heated sleeping area!

OMG, Basingstoke/Reading area it’s been chucking it down, thunder and lightning for about 12 hours now. :frowning:

We ought to say you can keep it there, but unfortunately it`s coming our way & going right over Peterborough showground in the process.

Julian.

Has anyone contacted the showground to see if they have palns to close it, if the weather gets too bad.

The thunder and lightning is now in essex.
Angel

Got lovely and soaked this morning while trying to sort out something that went a bit, err, blistery  …
Hope its not going to be a wasted effort … :frowning:

I just called them, and the stands are being set up as we speak. This event is on!

there is no way they will close the showground.

thousands has been spent on drainage and they havent had to shut it before. proper access roads and drainage means there wont be a problem.

At the moment the weather forecast for the weekend doesn’t look to bad. If you can believe forecasts

yea i looked at that last night … mind you we checked it the other day at around 7pm for round our area and it said that it had been raining all day when it hadnt  … you would change that quickly wouldnt you

I took today off work to load the club trailer and help set up the stand. The rain has poured down here in Bedford, my daughter and I spent nearly 3 hours loading it and have just come home for a hot shower as we are soaked. I should be there for 4pm.

This is the fourth year in a row to my memory that the heavens have opened at JAE. Makes you wonder why we do it. As for camping,… think I’ll book in across the road and get a decent nights kip.

Brendan

Wahay, it stopped raining here about an hour ago, now the sun is out and the roads are dry already - amazing what the sun can do when it comes out.

Altogether now… “The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on and he’s coming out to play…”

No I’m not mad, haven’t even had a stella yet!

If it rains tomorrow, bugger the tent, I’m kipping in the marquee!

It’s just starting in Sheffield, so obviously moving North as they forecasted, lets just hope it keeps moving

I just rang the show ground (3.20pm Fri) and they said the fields for the campers are quite water logged. So i was leaving about 2 hours ago but now? Do i come up and try in the morning anyone there to say what the condition of the camping area is behid the GTO stand?

Ray PS its just started raining again in Essex ffs!
