At the AGM, Dawn (Angel) and I were discussing the idea of SUPERHERO’s as a theme, loads to choose from, we even went a little further and thought the marquee could be designed as a BatCave and someone’s Black GTO modified as the Batmobile :lol:
Ok…so we were a little sozzled at the time and maybe got a bit carried away, but I still think it sounds good.
Having said that, I dont mind a beach party, but think we should liven it up a bit and swap the male/female attire so all you men that think you can just turn up in a pair of shorts and a ridiculous LOUD shirt when the women will be walking round in bikini’s, will in fact be wearing one themselves

I think a beach party themed night will see most people in fancy dress (shorts and loud shirts are easy). Maybe switch the hog roast for a catered BBQ?

I know it’s in good humour but sometimes we do need to keep the occasional post on topic.
So, anyone else with any useful input or shall we just go ahead with the suggested theme and wait for everyone to moan about it afterwards?
Just to be clear, we really need to organise this stuff now and to help James and Simon get it right we need input from people who have bought or are buying tickets, not just the usual half dozen people who can be bothered to comment. I may be wrong and everyone else is happy to tag along with whatever happens, if that’s the case i apologise but don’t even dream about moaning if you have said bugger all.

Perhaps a one week poll could be set up? There is two suggestions going - the AGM idea for superhero’s and the Beach party idea. That way nobody can moan as they will have had ample opportunity to influence the decision. How does that sound? Ps - I have got tickets for the event so have the right to moan if it all goes wrong.
I’d suggest people register their preference here then a total counted in a week or so based on people who have bought tickets. The problem with a poll is that people vote who are not attending.
James, if you need a hand with any of the organising then let me know. You did a good job last year but looked a bit worse for the stress of it all :lol:
