A bit of recognition for the GTO UK with the 2 cars winning 2 seperate catogaries, well done Jullian.
Look forward to the next meet,
Pete.
I wasnāt going to go to Japs this year, the GTOās been off the road for a while with a few problems and I hate going to shows without a decent car, I had loads to do at home and even on the day, the weather looked rubbish. However, I decided to head over for an hour or two as it is literally 10 minutes drive from my house and it is the only show that Iām likely to get to this year.
As we were wandering around the show, a voice called out from the GTO stand āDo you want a burger?! - weāve got plenty going spare!ā this was Julian (aka Gordon Ramsey) and this was before he even knew I was a club member! Both myself and my girlfriend were made to feel very welcome, and it was really nice to meet some new faces (special thanks to Damon for the info on the re-trim 8) ).
Iām so glad I went now, and it just reminded me that although Iām not on the forums very often, its great to be a member of such a fantastic and welcoming club.
Dave
P.S. The GTO WILL be back on the road and at the shows next year
