I am not away until Sunday, I have a couple of possible dates just waiting to hear about joining another Jap event, to help with the numbers. Please feel free to add suggestions etc.

the ford boys do a “Central day” at Santa Pod saturday rwyb, camping overnight then the “show” on the sunday. i know the ford biys have much more cars than we do but we could look at doing something similar, ie weekend, so ppl who travel a long distance have more of a chance to mingle before leaving early to be home at a respectable hour! just a thought!

do we really need to join another jap event to add to numbers ??? if we cant get the numbers from our own club for our cars 20th birthday then whats the point , i for one would be quite happy with just us lot (usual crew ) havin a bbq , and shed loads of beer … …just my thoughts

I am more than happy for it just to be the gto’s, the only reason I metnioned the other cars was becuase that was an option for one of the weekends. We are a bit limited on dates, although we could look at another venue.
Happy for it to be only GTO UK… if you need anything from the committee let us know!
yeah GTOUK sounds good, i think we need to look at a smaller venue than billing tho. what sort of numbers will we be looking at? 50 cars?

I am happy for suggestions of location, for 50 people billing said they will section part off for us. The prices are not looking to bad either.

can do no more than try i suppose but i stand by my thought on WE as a club should get together for a shindig even if its just a few of us to celebrate our cars birthday , if others cant be arsed then its their look out , lets party :lol:

As I am still waiting to here regarding the avilable dates, could we add some suggestions for things to do, or are we happy with just a bbq and drinks. If I can’t get this sorted with Billing, I will start looking for other options. Any suggestions welcome, somewhere mid country ish.

I think someone else mentioned it, but a bring’n’buy of your unwanted spare parts could be a good idea too.
Ok do you think we could arrange the meet by 2-4th July and how does this date sounds for everyone?

What exactly do we need to organise? Or, to put it another way, what do members want?
Obviously a BBQ of some sort is needed, do we go with a ‘club-based’ effort or do we get someone in to handle catering?
What sort of entertainment do we want? Obviously we have the usual entertainment that certain club members bring (i.e themselves :lol: ), what other stuff do members want?

Those dates OK for us, but we’ll only be able to make it for one night unfortunately, so if it’s a Friday to Sunday arrangement, we’ll be there for the Saturday night.
Just an idea on price still needs to be confirmed, Billing is asking for £20 per night this is based on a pitch with up to 4 people and one car. (so if you have two people and one car it’s still £20).
If we can get 50 people we will have our own area, if we have less than 50 we can still have our own area but we have to pay £200. So lets get 50 people togther
I am thinking of inviting a Japanese magazine along and seeing if we can get a review about the club. Does anyone have a contact at Jap performance or Banzai Magazine etc?
