Just got an amazing quote from Footman James

My renewal from Sky came through this week, they were after £776 (an increase of £36 over last year - plus an increase in the excess from 350 to 650 :evil: )

I phoned a few companies, and managed to get quotes in the region of £500…much better :smiley:

Then I rang Footman James…they told me they could put it through a classic car policy, and proceeded to quote me…wait for it…£340! :shock:

I thought it was too good to be true, so I rang around a few more (including Sky, who matched the £500 quotes :roll: ), and then went back to FJ, checking all the details. It was all correct, but when I went to confirm payment, the woman on the other end said she needed to double-check the policy…turns out the quote should have been £330! :lol:

So today by phoning around I have saved myself over £400. Nice. 8)

Yep: alloys, exhaust, boost controller, timing controller, although I did mention to all the insurers I got quotes off that none of my mods increased the horsepower of the car above the factory spec (unfortunately true :lol: )

I’ve only ever had a modern classic insurance policy and it’s always kept it’s replacement value of £7000.00
This year must admit it did go up to £385.00
The only thing with this policy is you don’t have a NCB
Company is AON Insurer Norwich Union…Or Aviva :?

They just quoted me over £1000!

“car too young for classic car insurance”

a SP30 and a SP40 may not have helped…

cue “don’t speed” comments - I KNOW OK!
