Kent summer FAMILY BBQ , ##MEGA PIC HEAVY Pg 7##

Well guys here it is…

After much talk the Kent summer BBQ is a reality. I intend to host it at Emma’s dad’s (Andy) small holding . Andy as a petrol head has welcomed the idea with open arms and is allowing us to invade his home and one of the fields.

It will be a BBQ where myself and GTOUK will be supplying snacks and soft drinks, salads Etc, however it will be a ‘bring and BBQ’ style event. You bring what meat you would fancy and i will chuck on the BBQ for ya. Bring your own booze too please.

This BBQ is aimed at the WHOLE family and kids more than welcome and dependant on numbers and ages (of kids) we will arrange a bouncy castle too. It will be an all day event where you can arrive from mid morning onwards…early ones have to help :lol: BBQ will be about 12 pm ish onwards

There will be NO shooting as originally planned due to amount of response expected and the obvious safety implications with kids coming. Shooting can be arranged for another time.

Parking will be in the actual field and is sufficient for about half the club :lol: :lol: However…IF your car is lower than mine (and mine is LOW) there is parking on the road too… I have NO issues at all driving on the hard field.

I will be arranging the clubs equipment too use and Andy has a big ish gazebo to shelter from the sun…should we be so lucky :lol: . I will provide as much as i can for the event, however it would be a help if you could bring your fold up chairs etc if you wish to sit on one…failing that a big blanket will do lovely on the grass.

Entertainment wise…

We will have music , football and goals, cricket set, Quoits and bouncy castle for kids (and Ray :lol: )

I’m on nights (18:00 - 06:00) that weekend so probably pop down but will have to leave early and fit in a bit of sleep somewhere during the day as well.

Just for a laugh we will be having a ’ favourite GTO’ competition and the winning car will be chosen purely on what Andy’s wife decides is her fav GTO on the day… so looks, colour, wheels, body kits etc all mean nothing as she is NO petrol head at all :lol:

Winning car will receive a small prize which i won at last years AGM and have not needed/used.

not for the car show bit, no n/a has ever won cos thier bias to tt’s but seeing who the judge is iv got a big big chance ill just say theirs a hidden supercharger on it

shame , im on way down to paddock wood that day , if any of you see an artic loaded with a couple of small tanks or a couple of artics loaded with tanks i will be in one of them so give us a toot as you fly by … its the annual pilgrimage down to the war and peace show at the hop farm so will be down there all week …
im sure you will have a great day and the weather will be wonderful as it always is when im down there :lol: :lol:
