Part of our group will be going directly to Le Mans, but on Thursday to avoid the last minute rush to get a good camping spot. It also allows us to get into Le Mans for the drivers parade on Friday Afternoon/Evening. I don’t know if that works for you?
We usually camp at Beausejour as the pitches are not defined (and we can access the wooded area to fuel our camp fire) which can be an advantage when there is a larger group.

Thurs and Beausejour works for me.
Will this sub group be travelling to Le Mans together?
Are they all fellow GTO owners, or if this a mixed group?
Do you all use the ferries, or the tunnel?
Personally I think the ferry is more sociable if travelling as a group.
Also, if travelling as a group, do you all take 2 way radios? We found them a great asset last time I went in 2003.
Just pick a frequency, and all use it. We had enough radios for 1 in each GTO…only problem we had was we picked a frequency the ferry company was using…lol
Sorry for all the questions!
Oh, and It’s my 40th this year, so many complete decade birthdays to celebrate!!
They will be travelling together and are not GTO owners, they are however, my father, brother & brother in law. They will also be carrying some of our Camping equipment, so we don’t have carry more kit than necessary on the route to the Stelvio Pass.
We prefer to use the channel tunnel as it’s quicker and some of the group do not have sea legs!!
