March South West Meet

Hi

Giving it another go

Given the last meet was snowed off can I propose a meet on March the 7th (Sat) same place as last time starting midday. It would be good to meet some of the newer members who have not been to many events / meets so please dont be bashfull.

Its off M5 J26, take the turn of the motorway roundabout towards Wellington. Follow the road to the next roundabout (about 1/2 mile and there will be a garage opposit). Take the 4th turn of the roundabout towards Taunton and follow the road for about a mile. The pub is on the right hand side and the car park is round the back.

Without trying to hyijack this thread, would it maybe be an idea to have this meet somewhere else, let’s say in Warlingham, Surrey (CR6 9QH).

Pistonheads is organising an event on the 7th called “Sportscar Saterday” at that location and the rather interesting list of cars is still growing.
Perhaps it would be nice to have a couple more GTO’s there ?

I’ll leave it as a South West meet for this one if thats ok. I spend most of my time driving up and down the M3 area so its nice to be nearer home over the weekends. also there are guys in Cornwall who are looking to attend this and Surrey is a bit far.

Many thanks to those who made it today was good to catch up with Neil and all the other guys new to the club. The turn out is getting better so lets keep it going.

I’ll put a post up for next months meet in a day or so.

Would have gone but as we work on a Saturday and it is a collection/drop off day for customers Sundays would be better. I don’t think most people would be too happy if we told them to wait another week before they had their car back.

Pleased it is picking up, it lost a bit of momentum over the last couple of years.

Fully understand Russ

I’d go with Sunday but I have football for 5 months of the year on Sundays so no point me organising something I cant attend. We will be finished at the end of March so will look to move it to a Sunday then.
