Membership figures

Was having a look at the 10/11 member group list earlier

there seems to be a lot of longstanding members who arent on that list yet ( i know i was slow renewing )

I guess quite a few will renew at the agm though

is it always this grim or slow ? never noticed before

Have some of you forgotten or are we going to be losing a lot of members this year both longstanding and newer ones

Regards

Craig

I noticed the same thing Craig.
The membership base seems to dropping of year by year.

Could someone in the committee put up the stats of the number of paid members year by year?
You would of thought with the cars being more affordable there would be a lot more members.

I sent my renewal off late too and as I recall a great deal of people signed up after the forum blocks you from posting when I was the membership sec.

Mark

i posted mine today ,found it stuck behind the breadbin

Renewing at AGM as always.

Possibility the increase in membership fees in a recession is putting people off renewing.

i will be renewing at the agm

Paul

I have sent mine off today.
Can’t make the AGM this year, otherwise I would be renewing there as usual…
Marty

I am saving up

roughly

we have 115 so far this year

2009/10 350
2008/9 388

we used to get about 100 new owners per year

 I posted mine just before the Easter hols. Sorry for the delay guys

Mine will be in the post this week… and I’ll eat again next week

payment and signed form posted last night

I still need to send mine off - Personally I feel that £20 to £30 in one year was too big an increase - a £10 increase over two years might have made it feel less painful for some.

I’m afraid I won’t be renewing my membership this year at the moment. There isn’t much point as I’m selling up! I may still renew an a couple of months if work picks up tho as I think the people on the forum are great, and I want to keep coming to eltons meets

I can’t afford to run the Gto anymore and have decided to start concentrating on my prelude. It also doesn’t help that I want to move out and get my own place in a recession when I have a lack of work

I think times are hard at the moment and the reason there may not be as many members joining or renewing is because of this, plus the fact Gto’s don’t seem as desirable as they used to be. The low sale prices reflect this.

It’s a shame as they are a great car, but desperate time call for desperate measures. :frowning:

Cheers

Tom

I forgot to send mine off, been sat on my desk all filled in just forgot to post it all time.

Now I’m about 8000 miles from it, so it will have to wait until I get back, I’m pretty sure I won’t lose access anyhow

Mark

It was the membership that agreed with increase, at the AGM last year that is why it is was delayed from last year for renewals but not new members.

If people have ideas or views, YOU need to attend the AGM, as that is were things are changed, agreed and voted on.

Simon

I DID SAY it was only a personal opinion. I DID NOT SAY it was a problem.

I only offered the opinion in response to the topic of the post.

Simon I am simply getting fed up with personally getting shot down in flames on this forum just for offering help, an OPINION or ideas.

Gav

I’m assuming all membership packs have been sent? As I’ve not recieved mine yet. (last name begins with ‘W’ so I guess I was near the end.)

Assuming you mean a renewal pack, they were all sent out 6 weeks ago

If you do not have one
