[size=18]Just a quick note to everyone who has sent their membership applications in for the 2007/2008 membership year.[/size]
At present no 2007/2008 membership packs have been sent out as I have not had an opportunity to print the membership welcome letters. (This is done at work before everyone else starts – IE 4.30am as the club does not have a colour laser printer)
The envelopes are already prepared with the new member’s goodies and the repeat member’s 2007 freebie.
Once I have printed the packs I will post in this thread to keep you all updated. (Should be next Tues/Wed)
The following should give you an idea of how the membership applications are processed:

[list:60052a3b4e]Your competed application will be received by Simon Baker, Club Treasurer.
Simon will check the application details tie up with a registered forum user name, then he will pay in the cheque.
Upon clearance of the cheque, Simon will send your signed applications to Pete Draper who has remained on the committee to maintain the membership database and data protection protocols.
Pete will update the membership database then file your application.
Once a week (where possible) Pete will send me a data file of all the new applications to allow me to print and fulfil the membership welcome/renewal packs.
Upon receipt of the file (which should normally come via email) I will print the welcome letters and cards and add the little goodies that new and repeat members get and pop the welcome pack in the post where hopefully it will reach your door![/list:u:60052a3b4e]**
Obviously we are all giving up our time to process the applications and where ever possible we aim to get any new/on-going applications out within 28 days but please do your bit to ensure your application runs as smoothly as possible.
[size=18]What can delay your application?[/size]
Incorrect user/forum name submitted on the application form
Check that the name that you used to sign up to the forum is the same name you are using to submit your application forms! If you have changed your username you need to let us know…
No application form with a cheque
Any cheques that are received without an application form will be destroyed as we need your signed form to process your application! (and we won’t know who you are as there is no form. No form equals no user name and no address to return the cheque)
No cheque with an application form
Providing the details are submitted correctly you will receive an email and/or a PM to notify you that there was no cheque with your application!
Cheque referred to drawer
If you are sending the club a cheque please ensure that there are sufficient funds to complete the transaction.
(You would be amazed how many membership applications Simon has received where cheques have not cleared, this also costs the club money) – **We have 4 of these already for the 2007/2008 membership year! **
[size=18]What does your membership fee cover?[/size]
Most of your membership fee goes towards the internet forum facilities and a proportion goes towards the clubs larger/national events (JAE, JAPS ect) – For a more detailed report please see the last AGM’s Treasures Report.
[size=18]Who should you contact if something is wrong?[/size]
**No membership Pack received – **
You should post in THIS thread and I will check to see if you have been processed. You will need to detail your SURNAME and first three letters of your POSTCODE.
**Can’t access the forum – **
You should PM 3000gt or Pete Draper and inform them of your predicament, you MUST include your full FORUM NAME, FULL NAME & ADDRESS and when you PAID your membership fee.
