Just out of curiosity, are the front light clusters and reflectors of the 3000gt and the Jdm Gto interchangeable? One could acquire a 3000gt and yet prefer the light cluster arrangement of the Jdm Gto and vice versa… On a first glance it looks like the clusters wouldn’t be interchangeable but when you look closer the hole for the headlights and general shape of the car looks identical. If one modified the 3000gt set up to look like a Jdm set up (a sin to many I’m sure) I assume that there would be the small issue of leaving 2 holes in each end of the bumper…
In a less trivial manner, is the a general consensus as to which is better out of the 3000gt and the jap imports? Any significant pros and cons to each?

I have acquired a really nice 1998 3000GT and i am going to mod the rear lights to enable me to have 4 rear lights and 5 brake lights.
I fully intend to start a thread about this when i start it and will also show all the mods to the car to turn my 3000GT into a hybrid of features that both cars have but do not have together in the same model
An example id the GTO has auto window up and down, the 3000GT has only auto down, you have to hold the button to raise the window on all 3000Gt’s
I want to see if you can male the 3000GT the same !!
Now i just need to some time as the GTO as i liked that feature !!
