So, not wanting UK 3000GT owners to feel left out, I have also started the design and expect a prototype in a couple weeks of the whole rear metalwork that secures the rear bumper cut-out panel to the bumper and provides number plate and light mountings.
Here’s what the oem item can look like after refurb (if you’re lucky enough that it hasn’t fallen apart completely!)
I’ll be measuring out the metalwork and getting a template made for a prototype to be assembled, then some laser cut if it works out. I appreciate there’s probably not much demand for these, so I’ll probably only get half a dozen at most made, but if this is of interest to you please let me know.
I made a rough sketch so I can get it in my head the shapes and bends required…
