I just noticed this at the bottom of the home screen:
Am I right in thinking that my name showing in green means I’m a moderator? If so, when did that happen and how does that differ from a regular user?

You are a moderator and have been for a while as you part organised the european meet Staff . So you were made an Event organiser
You can edit posts in the events section as you are a moderator on that section
