Just got a quote from Aleen & Alen for my son (19) they wont allow me to insure for him to drive but they will insure him with me on policy…wait for it

92TT GTO with exhaust and KN declared
£3995 TPFT and thats with 0% no claims as he has been on my policy since passing in March 04

I will ask him tonight whether he want to pay £340 a month (I have an oxygen mask ready in case of emergency)

nice timing though as he has just got a job with Audi and they doubled his salary from Citroen so he has some spare £££…he now works on TT’s, 400BHP A6’s etc so handy to have in the family

I have tried Adrian F - Privelige - and Motor Quote - all 3 rolled around in laughter

can anyone suggest any more

you’re gonna let your son who has been driving just over a year drive your 300BHP supercar on a tpft policy?? :lol:

yes its called trust…we were all young once. I had a
Triumph Stag with the Rover 3500 conversion when I was 18
Audi Coupe at 19
BMW 528 at 20
Rover 3.5 vitesse at 21
etc

none 300bhp agreed but still hefty motors in those days, all TPFT and I had no Dad to fall back on but I survived as I knew I could not be a tit

Anyway I’m still at work and he does not know thje news yet so their is no deal yet!

fair play for them for giving you a quote…

19 .yrs + 300 horses…very dangerous…If I can jump a a 1.3MK II escort threw a hedge @ 80 when I was 18 yrs…imagine what you he could clear…

I agree with Sheff when my son passes his test whats mine is his :smiley:

I had a white Stag converted with a SD1 engine and box loved the car :smiley:

But struggled to keep the temp down on it in warm weather.
