Thanks a lot guys I’m chuffed to bits with the car. Just need to rebuild the callipers as I have a fair bit of judder now. It has been very well looked after over the years.
If I’m honest I don’t like the bomex bumper. The shark face one is better IMO. I’d rather have the stock one on in all fairness.
I’d like to find Mark to see if the big 60k service has been done. I’m planning to wax oil her when the little bits & bats have been sorted.
Such a cool car, not seen any 3kgt’s around here let alone GTO’s. Real head turners. When you look out of the petrol station it’s almost like you have a tame super car out there. It may well do to folk who don’t know anything about cars.
Hey Rob it was my fiancée you spoke to who ordered the clear front indicator covers but you were out of stock.
Looks like you have the same front bumper as me. Sadly mine was very cheap and in not such nice shape as yours. If you do get rid of the bumper let me know think mine needs too much work to repair.
No worries. I’ll be concentrating on mechanics before body. I think the bomex makes it look aggressive but also makes it look American. Think it’s a bit Marmite.
Been looking for a replacement bumper a little while myself but if you find one first I will be happy to have yours and get it painted. Mines in an really bad state.
Hi Fella welcome to GTOUK 8) car looks nice in MkIII guise but must admit front bumper would look better stock , that’s said it would be boring if we were all the same .
The white cars have really grown on me lately , makes them look crisp and fresh 8)
I’m surprised nobody is making replica stock bumpers.
I was looking in the back today & found a few CIG burns in the head lining. It must have been a total retard. I’m guessing there’s not much you can do other than expensive re-head lining.

Depens how much time you want to put into it. If you have the patience you can get some of the same material and glue it on the “inside” of the headlining with fabric glue. You can do this without removing the headliner if you fold the small piece, thread it in then maneuver it before adding the glue. Once this is dry it will look better than a tab burn (remember to trim the brown burnt edges off first with a REALLY sharp knife).
If you want to go the extra mile (and depending on what the headliners made of) you can then get some material and cut it into almost dust like fragments (will take a while). Then put glue on the bit you put in and flock it with the fine material you have made. It’s a similar principal to building up layers on a car body repair.
