New home for the ONO!

If any of you remember my dilemma with not having a permanent garage for my gtONO(!) Well it finally moved in yesterday with plenty of room to open those big huge doors! Garage seems in good nic, it even has a little electric meter & plugs so I can keep it on trickle charge if I ever need to…not that I will because it’s only 10mins away from my house not 45mins!! Plenty of room to hoard loads of spare bits which I will start to collect now! & my spare wheels with original alloys! A few weeks late moving in but better late than never! Made up like!

Looks good Ali, put some carpet buffers on the walls so when you open the doors you don’t chip the paintwork on the bricks. Easily made, four bits of batten, two one inch thick bits of foam and two bits of carpet. Fix one piece of batten vertically up the wall, once you have figured out where you want them to go, make sure on edge if carpet is fixed behind the batten. Pull the carpet piece from the wall and put the foam behind, the fix the other batten over the other edge of carpet and fix to the wall.

Job done, Yay!!!

@just_cool & @maxxbradley oh eye good thinking don’t wanna chip the paintwork off the bricks! Good thinking though hadn’t thought of that! Got plenty of spare carpet in work I can use! :relaxed:

Out of interest where did you find the garage. I have been looking for something similar sized but everything I find is either a small single garage that my car wouldn’t even fit in or a big warehouse/barn that costs a fortune!

Behind my boyfriends work he has two garages that have been rented out for 20 odd years, one of the blokes who rents one was moving house so gave his notice in at the end of last year so I am renting it for £40 a month off the company which is great as garages in Liverpool just don’t exist & the ones that did come up were too small to fit the car in! That size would be about £80 in Liverpool.
I was looking on www.lockupgarages.net (liverpool only) & www.lockupgarages.co.uk (uk wide) but they were £80 per month…depends where you live as they seemed to be cheaper in other areas! Oh & gumtree but you have to be obsessive about looking daily because when they do come up they are gone by the time you ring up. What area are you in?

Im on the south coast and I did spend a couple of months looking religiously on gumtree and similar sites and gave up! I will try out your links!

Looks great Ali, you’ll have to put another pic up in a year’s time, and see how you’ve filled it up with parts - if you are anything like us that is

Good find though.

I’m actually quite jealous as my garage has a high roof, ie, the sky, bit of a bummer when it rains tho.

Show does this effect your insurance?

In Liverpool ?? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Cars are normally only in garages when they are being chopped

Good to see ONO is now safely off the streets and that is a good sized garage too
