Car home & all driving how it should so I am very happy…
Anyone going anywhere near Bideford who fancies picking up a set of wheels for me? too far for me to drive to myself as I am in Wiltshire & anything over about an hours drive & I am near on crippled with my back, really want some nice wheels to stick on my car…
Already chasing a Twin Turbo that I like the look of so might be able to grab that & have a custom project as well as a resto on the go soon…If you spot anyone with my name bidding on any GTO’S on the web then please don’t push the bids up too high lol…
Oh also still need to know if the speedo corrector/delimiter chip is the same one they use on the FTO’s as driving with only kmh on the clocks gives me a headache trying to work it out all the time lol…

Hi @voodooist666 there is a category for posting that kind of request - check out GTOUK postal service.

If you have specifically separate topics on Technical subjects - try creating a new topic in the appropriate technical category.

wow thanks had not spotted that as still very new to this forum & slowly working my way round it all…

Hi all I still need to convert my speedo as reading in KMH, is this the correct one to use?
EBay item number: 400060708192
If yes does it fit in same place as the fto one’s by the speedo sensor?
Could someone stick up a pic/diagram of where it should go please…
Tried to post in technical but just comes up with an error all the time.

What error are you getting, when you pick technical are you then choosing a subsection category, e.g gearbox.
Cheers
Neil

Sorry NAS I didn’t make a note of it, from what I remember it was coming up forbidden error think it might of been 403 ?
Well I’ve purchased that convertor/delimiter & will figure out where it goes when I get it I guess.
Will get some pic’s of it today & finally get them posted on here before I start any work on the car, all ive done so far is make a Custom Bass box to go in the boot with a nice set of 3200 Bass speakers in it & a 5000w amp running them so should sound good…

Only ever used to having exhaust systems built for Bikes/Trikes & Hot Rods sooo…
Is £500 to £600 a fair price to pay for a cat back Stainless Exhaust System to be Custom made & fitted with me picking out all the bits ?
Same error 403 coming up when I try to post in other sections again…

Can you take a screen grab of the error for me, I will get @DeanMarkTaylor to look into this for you.

That is about the right price for a stainless system, just make sure it is the right size, so many companies fit an exhaust which is too small.

Cheers,
Neil.

So should I go for a 2 1/2 or a 3" system on it? as its a NA it will never be fast but hopefully will still sound good lol…

Wait for some other peoples thoughts, but 2 and 1/2 should be plenty for an NA. I had this setup with two 5" ends and it sounds very nice,

Neil.

I was thinking 2 1/2 myself so that’s good…I am still going for Quad exhaust as love the look of them, but probably with the tips slightly angled down to get that echo off the ground…
Oh I also need to get a Decat pipe as well so anyone got a decent supplier for those? Got to admit tempted to get the stainless manifolds etc & just do the lot…

As luck would have it I’ve just managed to pick up a TT that I would rather start modifying than butcher this Silver one as Silver one is just way too clean & original & would be a perfect car for a concourse car after minimal work, so this Silver one is going to be going up for sale very shortly, I will post full details & plenty of pictures in the for sale section asap, here’s some pic’s of my new TT… It does need plenty of work, main thing being a new clutch very soon but its something I’ve wanted for a long time so I am more than happy to spend the time & money to get this just how I want it…

I almost bought this one for Ā£2500 decided the description at the time wasn’t quite right, then re listed with the truth a bargain you got there buddy looks clean.
I bought a tt identical to this one with engine rebuilt but there are always faults they hide:joy: congrats on the quickest turnaround from n/a to tt took me 6 mths :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
