Hi every one, 3000GT owner from Bedfordshire. A little history for my introduction to you all, i have owned the car for a couple of years now did the usual hunting around trying to find a GT to suit my small budget that was not full of the dreaded orange stuff and more mechanically sound then body work perfect, well I eventually did and loved driving her for a year, at this point I decided it was time to take her off the road for some tlc so now she sits on wooden block parts stripped and a spare bedroom full of GT lol. I hope to be able to contribute as well as use your vast knowledge as guidance throughout my return to the road! although I do have access to mk2 1994 n/a that my 17 year old son drives and has great pleasure in teasing me with Lol.

HI,
Welcome to GTOUK, mine is presently sat up as well
Neil.
thanks for the welcomes guys, peter I brought a 1998 3000gt, run it for a bit then decided to start sorting out as a keeper, the buyers guide are correct concerning the rust issues with the uk models, so currently missing wings and front lower support that I found the rust had really got into so drilled out the spot welds and removed, I found a good one breaking so removed sand blasted and primed now awaiting refitting. I am slowly gathering parts mainly concentrating on underneath the car and running gear before any engine works. But if time’s not stretched enough trying to sort mine out then I am helping my lad with his n/a gto, came home on Friday evening to a clutch change, just love laying on cold concrete and a puddle of oil trying to get the transfer box back on, would have been easy if the front exhaust pipe section had been removed.
Hello,
I am from Bedfordshire, too have two GTOs, one 1991 MK1 Auto (black) and the other blue MK2, which I drive everyday. I am thinking of selling the MK1. It’s 100% original and last year had bearings replaced and electrics rewired. It is SORN but starts first kick and drives well. Where is the best place to put “for sale” ad? Cheers,
