Hi,

Welcome to GTOUK, have you had the ecu back that would be my first guess also make sure none of your pipes are loose and you are getting a boost leak.

Cheers,
Neil.

Hi Neil…

Welcome to the club and hope you get it sorted and on road again, there is a lot of knowledge in the club and are always willing to help.

I had a similar problem with my GTO when i got it, so like you I changed the plugs and leads, what i found was a mismatched set of plugs, which is obviously not your problem, BUT one of them was lose in the head. I suggest you just check them all and that the leads are all on properly before buying more parts. It may save you some cash.

Welcome to the club dude… Best thing you could try is undoing or checking all that you’ve done and methodically work through it all. Double check everything… As Brendan says

hi and thank you for the welcome yes have had ecu back and the ecu doctor even sent me a replacement to try :frowning:

Hi Rob did what you said and cut a v in the plenum backets now runs as it did but still with this misfire also went into everything today to make sure i had not missed any thing i can now replace plugs and leads blind folded with a larger in one hand. theres got to be an answer to this???

Misfire, is there a precise rpm it starts?

Leads, plugs, coil pack, PTU, wiring to all the the above Need to be checked, tested etc.

Most commonly ecu leaking caps.

Are you getting any spark at the coils, have you individually tested each coil to see if one is a problem or not, this is where I normally start and work back for there, just don’t give yourself a big electric shock doing it.
