After visiting Fraserburgh vintage car rally today with Markdas, we’ve been provided with a few options for future meets:

Mintlaw Gala 2007 Modified Vehicle Show - Friday 8th June 18:00-21:00

Knockhill Speedfest 17th June or 26th August. Apparently this draws a lot of attention and will be on TV too! You can have a club display or go on the track, there’s the usual trade stands and side attractions too.

What do you think?

Knockhill sounds good but I am happy to go anywhere…looks like I will be available most weekends for a few months yet despite the new job…I have pencilled in a slot for dyno testing at Wallace Performance but I am not convinced they will give us a good day out so that can easily be cancelled.

Hopefully Scoob will have his new car soon too.

Mark

Well I think Mintlaw Gala is out of the question… (Although I posted it  ) As I’m looking at a TT for Scoob on Friday evening!

I think Knockhill would be good, but probably the August Event as it will give us more time to organise and enter…

Mark, do tell when you booked Wallace Performance, if there are no further suggestions, then I vote we take our dyno day there… Admittedly it’s quite far for some to come, but if we get some good numbers then it should be a good day out

Chooch

P.S. Nice collection of Helicopters there John

Wooah!

I like those heli’s

I’m gonna get one. Wanted one since late seventies.

Where did the helicoptors come from???

Chooch…did you mean to ask me a question in Shakespearian dialogue…Do tell when I booked Wallace…

I doth protesteth that I telt thee at the fine morrow we did spend at Scoobs place of residence in the vale of Pitlochryshire…

Andy was going to look into someplace in Edinburgh too

Wallace want 35 quid each if we get 10 cars, so we may need to call on a few Scoobies and Evos too! Unless I get the wife to dyno the diesel Allroad!!!

I forgot about the Mintlaw thing! Well I could convince the wife that it would be a nice evening out on Friday and I could look at Scoobs car on Saturday if its better for you?

Shall we plan for Knockhill on the 17th then

I’m going to have a word with hypertech in falkirk next wed when I get my mot done with them as they have a dyno. I’m slowly but surely working my way round places in Scotland for servicing etc! Can’t make the 17th sadly - have to earn a crust that day! John - any chance of a swap?

Mark,

Did you like my “Shakespearian dialogue”?
Indeed, you are correct old chap, when hath thy affirmed our booking for???

Forget the allroad, you need the Schimiter or your quattro on the rollers…

All,

I think it’s £45 each at Wallace if we don’t have 10 cars, which is still not too bad, considering other prices…

I’m looking forward to what hypertech can offer…

Chooch

Gents,
I need to get my finger out and make sure I’m along for the next one.
Any chance someone can book the same weather we had for our Duthie Park meet?

If you come, maybe we shall have sun again
Any suggestions for a future meet?

Chooch

Oi, you Jocks have a hard enough time making yourselves understood at the best of times using the modern ENGLISH language, don’t go and confuse yourselves any more than is necessary.
Thank the Lord that this is a written forum, just imagine if it was a vocal communication network.

Mark.

Guess I better not mention how quite a few of the “guffs” using this forum do not have a grasp of their own language. Some of the spelling is atrocious. For some, the written word is certainly not a preferential option…

'mon the Jocks

Wallace is pencilled in for the 24th June (Sunday) and maybe we could negotiate a £40 each rate if there are less than 10 of us?

Is there a consensus about the 17th as a day out too down to Knockhill?

Mark

I can’ make the 17th, friends up from Englandshire, so late night curry and beers on the Saturday…

I can’t make the 17th, friends up from Englandshire, so late night curry and beers on the Saturday…

Watch your spelling there! I’m sure GTO-MAS will soon have a come back

I think we’re going to have to organise a special late night meet for you ! What do you say?

MAS better watch we don’t all turn up on the Tamar bridge and invade the village of Cornwall…would that make us Emits or Grockles, I can’t remember!

A suitable meeting for sspeiper would be about a 2pm start outside his house, we make him his first cup of tea and bacon roll…then about 3pm we set off for a drive…except he’s off in the distance on the prowl for poor old ladies in Rover 25’s who is a little lost!

Or we could have a late night poker GTO meeting…

Now i know that will never happen as it costs £1 to get out of Cornwall and you just can’t fit that many not so slim Jocks in one car !
Grockles.

Mark.

ha ha  but there will be one thin mas when we skin him and sell the meat in a haggis

scott

That’s a lot of haggis’s you’ll be selling.

Mark.
