I seem to be missing the option to reply to some threads I can see. Andy (@Beanus) has posted about LED indicators but I can’t reply, looks like it may be locked to committee members only.
Lol so you noticed we have locked you out then?!
No only kidding. It might just be an issue with the last update dean did, are you able to post a reply in to any of the other technical sections… Engine for example?
Try that @Steven_Smith i have moved it into the electrical section not the technical header
Craig
I think the problem was @Beanus put it into Technical and didnt choose a sub category , this stops general public form posting on the topic without moderator rights
Craig
Still technical shouldn’t be locked though
Im sure it does if a subcategory isnt chosen
Craig
Ah maybe! Lol Shouldn’t be able to do that then lol
Aye but Moderators can rewrite sub headings for technical sections or any of the main categories which is sometimes needed
Craig
So when someone puts
“Engine - turbos”
We can have fun and rewrite
“Engine - big snails”
Got you! Lol
Not quite lol we might need to write in technical for example that "could people please post in the relevant sections "
Or "any jokes posted in technical will be deleted "
Obviously you dont then want loads of comments on there
or you can edit peoples posts
Oooops! sorry. I’ll pay more attention next time.
Andy
Cheers guys, that fixed it
I can confirm that @Beanus created the topic in the top-level category Technical
, he could only do this because he is a moderator.
Now the topic has been moved to @CDMH the any full-member can reply to it.
I move topics quite often - it’s only the moderators who cause this issue.
Sorry all.
No worries dude - all moderators / admins do it.
There is a dev plan in place to prevent it.
Guilty as a charged
its one to remember from now on though
Craig
