You lot can all have a brief respite from my bad jokes as i’m off the scene from Tuesday next.
Schedule for next week and after is;
Tuesday–Depart BAE Systems at Warton by coach to RAF Brize Norton
Wednesday–Depart BZN on VC10 tanker aircraft which will be in flight refuelling our Typhoon aircraft all the way to Sharm in Egypt (hope to get some good pics of refuelling). Arrive Sharm pm Wednesday
Thursday–Pool time at Sharm for a couple of days (all this and money too)
Saturday–Depart Sharm on company 146 aircraft after seeing off Typhoon and land at Al Taif airbase in western Saudi Arabia.
Spend one month here doing our hot and high weather trials (looking to get as close to 50 degrees as possible)
Late July–Depart Taif for drive to Bahrain for long weekend (plus exit/re-entry visa). After sampling the bars of Bahrain, getting rid of hangovers–drive to Dharan airbase in Saudi Arabia and do all the trials previously done in Taif all over again in different humidity.
September 1st (hopefully)-pack up trials kit–see off Typhoon for return trip to UK- shadowing jet all the way back in case of problems–should be back in UK by 3rd
Most important on the 4th September (hopefully) DRIVE THE GTO AGAIN
