OSBOURSES wicked!

After being shocked at how much GTO insurance had appeared to go up since I had my last one two and a half years ago (bearing in mind Im 30 now!) Osbournes came up trumps with a fantastic £695 Premium full comp with £350Excess. Im 30, full no claims, car has cat 1 and is garaged in Colchester, Essex and does 10k miles a year.

I have just taken insurance out with this company. They were the cheapest by miles.

Dave

Can one of you guys post a number up im not happy with Tescos after the performance i had with getting my car recovered on sat i had to pay after ten miles and im supposed to be covered for recovery in europe

Is this another company that won’t touch under 30s, or is it worth me trying them?

You are correct this company is for mature drives not young whipper snappers like you.

Dave

I still found AON to be cheaper then Osbournes

I personally would not want to be young again as being young is the only perk of being young.

I have a much better quality of life now i’m an old duffer.

Dave

CHEERS BOYS!!! I was thinking 30 isnt that old still and now I feel positively ancient!!

I still have my hair, teeth muscles and a 24 year old bird! surely 30 isnt past it??!! ha ha

Dave how much did they quote u? Details? It went up to £740 to protect it but I still think this is good.

Just sorted my insurance with Osbourne’s
£450 including NCD Protection.

I hope they’re more polite and professional with their customers than they were with me after I applied for a quote. I got the following one line email;

Nothing more, nothing less.

They’ve obviously seen your mods Steve

Seriously though, that does surprise me, I’ve recommended Osbournes to several people, including Dave, and nearly all of those have taken policies with this company - due to various factors - mostly cost I would imagine…

As I’m in the Jap Import Sales business we always suggest Osbournes to all our customers and even have a ‘deal’ with them for our customers.

If anyone calls them for a quote, mention they were recommended by Steve at “Brookfields (UK) Limited” and see what they can do for you.

I tried to get a qoute to… its nothing to do with the car its us being under 30 that they don’t like. :frowning:

Itried aswell and got the same response i wonder if a few more of us under 30’s tried they might change there mind seeing theres a nice gap in the market for them on the form i filled in it didnt ask about modifications either which is a bit of a concern as they surely would say you never informed us of them so no money if you had a crash !

I’ve got to speak to Osbournes (for one of my customers) tomorrow. I’ll try to find out why their not interested in Insuring you ‘young uns’.

I’ve also come across a brokerage (who gave an even better quote than Osbournes to one of my customers) who specialize in Presitige, Sports & Jap Imports.

I haven’t (personally) had dealings with these though - but may be worth a call.

I’ve just bought my first 3000gt (1996 UK model)and shopped around for insuance first…
Afetr a couple of £1600+ quotes, ESURE came up with £653… However, I shopped on…
The A.A. (insurers of my previous vehicle with Grouparma)) initially quoted around £1600, but when I mentioned the ESURE quote, they immediately dropped their price to £600!!! Unfortunately, they insisted on the car being garaged.
I settled on Chaucer (through Churchill) at £636.
Excess (accident/theft) £500.
I am mid 40’s full no claims with a current SP30. The car doesn’t need to be garaged, but requires a Cat 1 Thatcham.
My advice to anyone is to shop around

Just had a quote from these, £434 fully comp with one year ncd 5000miles and business use, I thought that was quite good even though I am an old bu**er.
