Out of hosp (update)

well after the japfest i wasnt feeling to great so pop down to the local G.P on the sunday and next thing i know im in a hospital bed on a drip…

Great i thought…

Even better when they took 24 hours for a blood test and then another 24 hours for a scan and for them to discharge me with just pain killers saying…

were not sure whats wrong but we know its not…

so here i am back in pain still but stable so get use to my post cos i dont have anything better to do till the pains gone…

The exact art of science eh? Well, hope you feel better soon.

■■■■■■ hell mate, you looked fine on Saturday, what do you reckons wrong?

well it can’t be turbo lag

Simon

p.s hope you feel beter soon

well they thought it was pancreatitis but all the test come back saying no… i dont have a temp or fell or look sick i just have the pain :frowning: so…

Have you given your p.i.n. to a woman at anytime recently ? That would certainly make you sick.
Turbo lag
I reckon it’s a ploy really and there’s nothing wrong with you, you just want some sympathy and when someone asks if there’s anything we can do for you, it’ll be, fit me a pair of tubs and that’ll make it better.
Hope you get sorted soon.

Mark.

Sonic same thing happened to me two years ago.

Woke up in excrutitaing pain in my lower back unable to move much…loads of test later sent home, still couldnt move.
a few days later started vomiting…3 days after that was sent back to hospital and back home coz they found nothing.
kept being sick so was signed off work.

Took four weeks for them to find out that i had ruptured a stomach ulcer and it had then taken out my stomach lining.
another 4 weeks of work with nothing to eat apart from mash potatoe and nothing to drink apart from milk.
then another 18 months before i could stomach alcohol, or anything highly acidic.

Now back to as normal as i can be…i was gobsmacked it took them so long to find out what was wrong.

Hopefully yours will not take so long and i hope it is an easier dealt with problem than mine.

wishing you well

Dawn

oh nice… fill with confedance now…

starting to worry abit now so… might have a look at bupa or some1 to have a good look…

im never ill infact 3 days of in last 6 years of work so its out the ordanairy.

but its just a case of exstrem hunger pains is the best way to decribe it… it goes with good pain killers for about 4 hours but im not living of them so…

im going to give it till after the bank hoiiliday and if not change in condition go and see some1 else (not MHS) and see what they say.

But if thier is a few turbos going  (i am sick)

Have they checked for an ulcer or apendix problems…as they can manifest as really bad hunger pains…dont mean to scare you just trying to help.

An easy test for ulcer is to try something like gaviscon or tagamet from chemist if it helps, then let your gp know.

not a ice subject but also bowel obstruction can do it along with the back ache, a good laxative could help that.

just trying to suggest some easy things to rule out.

Dawn

well with the pain not going anywhere fast i went back to the doc’s and they sent me back to hosp…

in the end it was a very very bad apendix and i had to have it removed… aprently also they couldnt wonder why i was dead already with it being to bad and not far from failing big time. i told them about the other hosp and what they did and they cant beleve it.

So im now back home after 7 days and nights in hosp now hopeing to recover. all i can say really is if ya dont feel well dont put it off.

Blimey buddy, thats no good at all. I knwo all too well what its like to be fobbed off by doctors. At least it didnt burst !!

Speedy recovery mate 8)

Omg numpties…my friend had the same and the apendix ruptured giving her septiciemia(sp),made her very very ill but she did manage to sue the trust for malpractice

Glad your on the mend now mate.

Take it easy and get well soon.

Dawn

good the hear your on the mend! I had mine out years ago, lister performed the op and florence nightingale was the nurse

  Very good.

Carl.

Some hospitals are ■■■■■■ terrible. I broke my ankle and the doc in A+E said “Try walking on it for a few days, if the swelling doesn’t go down come back to us, oh and I’m not going to give you crutches cuz you’ll only use them”. Not so much as an X-ray!

Speedy recovery.

Jo

sory to hear your story mate wat a bummer n to make it worse all the silly comments about hair dryers as if we need them a

at least they sorted it for you in the end, hope you feel better soon.

Dave

Glad you feelin better , some hospitals are useless , Ihad a big crash on my motorbike in '99 , got taken to warwick hosp , couldnt breathe properly and my neck was killing me , took them 3 hours to get me xrayd , said it was bruising and discharged me ,! neck was really hurting for ages , numerous visits back to the hosp , and doctors , they just stuck a neck brace on and told me to take paracetamol !
Nearly 10 years on i still get crippling neck pain and last year the specialist i have been seeing for the last 4 years has come to the conclusion that he is convinced that my 6th vertebraewas fractured and missed by the numpties at warwick hosp … … cant do anything about it now tho !
To add insult to injury , the nurse that 1st saw me when i got taken in treated me like ■■■■■ ! face was smacked up even tho my visor was down fully at impact , she said they didnt like treating people who didnt wear the correct protective clothing when riding motorbikes ! biaaatch …
If i couldve sat up i wouldve belted her although i suspect the reason they took so long to xray me was due to my comment on her looks after her stupid ■■■■■■ view on my accident !!
