Purchased L80 GTO a year ago full of good intentions for a restoration but regrettably change in circumstances means I need to get rid.
Bad points:-
Body work is poor. Worst bits are dent / damage to N/S rear quarter just behind door. Top of tailgate suffering from sun damage. Plenty marks on paintwork but nothing too serious.
Pretty extensive MoT failure list in the summer, main problem being 3 areas of welding required, 2 on inner sill either side close to rear jacking points and one in passenger footwell area.
Front balljoint covers need replacing.
Better points:-
Car starts, goes, and stops well.
Previous owner replaced the engine about 18mths ago. Unfortunately he didn’t have the paperwork to back this up, but as I said, it runs well.
Since owning the car the I have:-
Renewed the battery
Original wheels refurbed and fitted with Toyo Proxes which have covered 3 miles (to MoT and back).
New Zunsport grille set fitted.
All electrics work
All oils changed engine, transfer box, and rear diff.
New air, oil and fuel filters.
Coolant system cleaned and flushed, new antifreeze an thermostat.
Replaced radio with Kenwood DDX4028BT fitted with rear view camera.
Braided fuel pipe kit from EE
All brake related MoT items have been addressed, calipers refurbed, and brake lines replaced at caliper ends.
If not sold I will consider breaking.
