Ok so this time tomorrow I will be heading off to bed as a father for the first time! @JemmaC is going in to hospital to or row morning at 8am to have a C section to bring Isla butler in to this world. I won’t lie I’m scared, excited nervous, excited and scared lol. I will hopefully tomorrow be able to post up a photo of my family but honestly its going to be a crazy day so no promises!
We think we have everything sorted and ready… Nursery done, clothes bought, bottles bought, nappies (boxes of the things!! Apparently baby’s can need changing up to TEN times a day!!!) seriously how?! We even have a rocking horse already! It’s been hard not to let Jemma get carried away and buy a pony already!!
Jems already planning pony club camp. School locations and prom outfits!
We are hoping to bring little one to the Xmas bash this year to meet all her Gto aunties and uncles. But we will confirm this at a later date.
Tomorrow morning is a massive changing point in our lives, nota negative change nor a worrying change, but an exciting new chapter to our lives, we will treasure every moment and no doubt one day I will end up like will smith in “bad boys” one day (if you’ve not seen the film google bad boys film date scene)
So forgive me if I am quiet in the next week. Jemma is in hospital until at least Friday. I’m unfortunately back to work Wednesday morning so will only get to see my daughter and Jemma in the evenings. In between work, horses and sorting the dogs out.
I will keep you all posted here in the next 24-48.
Good luck bud, thoughts and love with you , jem and baby when she comes. Drop us a line when it’s all settled down and you’re not sick of people visiting and we’ll pop up.
All our best wishes for tomorrow for you both and little Isla.
An amazing time in your lives ahead of you.
Catch up soon, have to admit though Steve, your post topic seemed like a bit of an oxymoron which tickled me, guess there’s a first time for everything and what else would silence you apart from the birth of your first child.
Savour every moment , sounds easy but isn’t , things take over and you miss things that can never be replaced , get home as early as you possibly can every day and most of all enjoy it
GL bro just remember all the time you are getting up in the middle of the night, getting up at 5 in the morning, getting up at 1 in the morning etc etc these aren’t times you get back, they are f*cking brilliant, just enjoy it. Best thing in the world.
Hope it is all going/gone well, I note this is a little late. If you need anything you’ve got my number and I guess I’m close enough to help out in a dire situation, but I refuse to change nappies.
I’m just home from the hospital for some sleep.
Jemma was booked in for 8m c section. However due to an emergency one then another coming in front we didn’t go down to theatre until 330 ish.
Little Isla was the. Born around 4:45… Immediately tried to wriggle out if the observation bucket thing… Lol
She weighs in at 6lb 7.
Both mum and baby are doing well. Baby feeding regularly and jems trying to rest in between. She’s very much a string minded little girl… Absolutely my child lol.
