Was at Bishops Court race circuit today in Northern Ireland & there was a red MK1 on the other side of the track (whete the marshals park opposite race control) …I get really excited seeing another GTO!

Ummm that seriously looks like the car I use to own.
Its hard to tell if its the same car, as I had a personal plate with it. The plate did not go with the car, so could be the same one. I know it was a J plate and all I can remember it ended with KHY.

Oh Neil I really hope it wasn’t your car! Was it an auto? This one was an auto & didnt say twin turbo on the sides (cant tell in the pic if yours does) but it was in a sorry state up close! Huge hole in the fabric drivers seat right to the bone & a lot of rust going on & peeling faded paint work! I waited till the last session had finished so I could cross the track to the middle to see it & hung around for ages to see who came to it but as I was leaving in the van I saw it drive away

It wasn’t an auto so maybe it wasn’t. This one was an NA, it was my first gto, it was very clean although the picture probably doesn’t do the car any justice.
