doesnt sound too far off, mine was around 600 FC about 350excess, 29 years old, 4 yrs NC, down to about 500 with the missus as named driver.
Also noticed the document showed the car was made in 2000, not 94, as they had took the imported and registered in uk date. I rung them to correct this and they took it down another 60 quid or so.
This was with elephant, who are the same company as admiral or something like that.
That quote from AF sounds pretty good considering your lack of NCB - obviously keep shopping around, even try the comparison websites as John says, but if you can’t get any lower then i’d be fairly happy with that quote. With any luck in 12 months you’ll be able to drop a fair chunk of that off with the extra NCB and ownership experience.
i think it says something like 3000 GTO on the model, but definatley says imported… hmmmm, think ill check that later.
Insured my last GTO with them too a few years ago.
in fact…you got me worried so just rung them. They said it was all good.
Still gonna check the certificate later. Only got a couple of months left on it, so at worst i could cancel as i’ve already found a quote 100 quid cheaper for renewal time with Adrian Flux.
rung them again as i wasn’t totally convinced by the lady i spoke to first.
The guy @ elephant said that they can insure an import as long as there is a UK equivalent ie 3000GT, and he confirmed that the details were all good already etc. Thats a relief, best to be sure though.
Sounded like he appreciated the car, saying he had one over a 1000 bhp on Gran Turismo
