Road book in UK, hello Jaitch and James of amber perfs

Hello all,

Here is pictures of our road trip to England !
2 friends, my brother and I visited your country for shopping yesterday.

We traveled on the ferry and arrived in UK at 8:30 AM. I met Jaitch whilst refilling at a fuel stop in Dunstable. You’re a great man, thank’s Jaitch for your kindness.

So we arrived in Dunstable !

Thank’s to James of Amber performance. I know I was traveling in UK one day before the 09-august-2006, so there were some parts in stock but it was not really important.

My friends were looking for Honda CRX and Toyota Celica GT4 parts! I was taking a chance for coming to the UK as the valid date of my ID card was bad !

My first friend had bad news about fujitsubo catback for civic CRX, but we put some parts of celica GT4 from Fensport!, like mangoose muffler and exhaust parts.

Thank’s for kindness It was the first time I have travelled to the UK! Life is very expensive in UK ! gasoline, alcool, food … English poeple who are shopping in France have really good reason !

Welcome TO UK Fred,

Shame I didnt know you were coming over as I live just outside Dunstable and it would have been nice to have come and said hello.

There will be seven GTO’s driving through your country next Friday 18th, on trek from Dunkirk to Amsterdam as part of the Speedball rally, if your about come and say hello!!

Fred,

Glad you had a trouble free trip - looking at your car it appears to have alot of good quality work done to it.

Keep an eye out in the FUTURE EVENTS section of this site - there are some big events all year round that our members do to (bring a tent!).

It would be nice to see a french 3000GT make the journey sometime.

Also - you can join this club if you want to as an international member (with reduced fee’s). If you do then you will have full access to all the forums and James may even give you some discount on your next parts if you ask him nicely

Nice one Fred! It was very nice to meet you too. I can regularly be found filling up at the Shell garage in Hemel Hempstead.

When I was talking to you I was desperately trying to remember my French from 20 years ago - I failed miserably and did what all good english people - speak loudly and slowly in english!

Excellent pictures and I hope you had a worthwhile trip.

Do you know any other GTO owners in France? Is there a club in France?

it was a really good day for shopping.
i see 4 3000GT in one day !
in France, seeing just 1 3000GT on the day is amazing !

i am going to make a new Identity card for coming next time in UK.

about 3000GT french owners, there are a web site :

we meet some 3000GT owners on a meeting in july.
it was during Drag racing meeting in munchouse ( ALSACE, East of france )
it was the second time that a meeting regroup 3000GT owners.

some people came from Sweden, Swiss and the other from France
there were a lot of various 3000GT
version twin turbo, atmospheric, spyder.
with DR650, DR800 turbochargers, Fmic, etc…

i was not present to the first meeting because i had a crash with my first 3000GT.
a friend made a mistake when driving and crash at the speed of 160km/h

i was in “an other world” when i look my car after the crash.
so now i have the second and i am more happy.
i made a brake upgrade with pads and discs.

it could be great to see frenchs owners in UK !
why not ? if some french people are OK, it could be great.

so i will review my english because i have no occasions to speak or write english.

i will come back to say you hello.
it is a promise.
and i will bring you some belgium beers if you like.
it is like good french wine and it is famous
( castel beer, delirium, 3 monts, queue de charrue, triple moine etc… )
