Road side assists/AGM

Hi would like to thank Simon and Jon for stopping when my front turbo hose went just round corner from Holiday Inn, also for Jon for taking me to Halfords to get some hose to repair it, and his help when we got back. Am glad I bought the Samco hoses from Craig. Of which would like to say thanks to him for helping me this morning put the hoses back.

A very big thank you to Andre who i traveled back with and his help when car was starting to overheat and we made a few stops, when I stopped on the M40 was steaming quite bad, so as I undid the rad cap it flew off and some how lost it. Thanks to Andre driving to the nearest auto factors and managed to get me another rad cap.

Whilst was waiting for Andre, Rub stopped and Steve drove past, so with new rad cap fitted started on way home again, only for car to start heating up again but every time pulled in temp went down, so stopped at Chievelly Services so as to cool car down, topped up again and venting more air out of system.

Finally thanking Tracie for organizing the AGM / Bowling and Frankie and Bennies for the meal after bowling apart from the car had a good time, see you at Japfest

Hi Dave Glad to hear you made it home in the end . No worries with the help after all that is what the club is about .

Hopefully the overheating was just air in the system as you had lost a lot of coolant and not anything more sinister , time will tell on that one though mate . You will also find without the correct rad cap on there it will keep overheating as there is a couple of seals incorperated into our caps

All the best

Craig

I would aslo like to second the thanks to Tracie for organising the AGM again and to those who travelled to to make the AGM too 8)

No thanks necessary would have done the same for anyone as Craig said that’s what the club should be all about.

Sounds like just an airlock in the coolant system

Look forward to catching up with you at future events

Jon

Yeah cheers guys, the rad cap Andre got was right spec for a mitzy

You’re more than welcome Dave.

Yes it was a 0.9 bar 6G72 cap

André

Glad you managed to make it home safely in the end.

Sorry I didn’t stop, I noticed you too late and being in the outside lane meant I couldn’t get over. Hope you manage to sort the car out and get some reliability.

Yes did thanks and did notice you were in outside lane… :drive:

I felt it was the safest place to stay after the stick I got for my lane decisions on the way up

Totally agree with that
