It got mentioned at the Yorkshire meet last Saturday that one or two of the members would like to put their cars on a rolling road & maybe have a bit of a fun day out as well ( meeting other members etc. ) It suddenly came to me, myself, Neil ( The Hand ) & Steve Lawtey visited one in Scunthorpe late last summer whilst Steve was setting my car up & we were quite impressed with the set up, Steve did mention to the guy regarding having a club meet & he was up for it, it would appear that it has changed hands since then but I gave a guy Called John a ring today to ask if he was also up for a club shoot out/ test your bhp type of day & he said no problem when do you want to come, They can also do a simulated 1/4 run on the rolling road, so the idea is, He will hire a car in for the 1/4 mile shootout so everyone is equal & also have your car tested on the rolling road for bhp etc, the cost would be £35 inclusive of VAT But he would want a minimum of 10 cars, The usual charge is £35 + VAT & obviously no hire car to play with, he said he would also try & arrange some sort of food ( burgers etc. ) Its no good saying what dates are best because everyone would have differing dates they could make it, so I was thinking late March, say Saturday 22nd, At this point I am gauging interest & then we can take it from there :smiley:

Mike, bring as many as you like, more the merrier, 20, 30, 40 on the day is not a problem, I am actually going on the rolling road tomorrow as I want to do a before & after reading as my chief mechanic/mentor ( Steve ) is going to work his magic on my car later this month & with a little help from me upgrade some bits & bobs on my car, so hopefully the after reading may be on our day out :smiley: , I`ll take some piccies tomorrow of the rolling road & the place itself so you will all get a better idea of whats there.

Definitely confirmed for Saturday 22nd March from around 9-9-30am, the guy says he will get the barbie on for those who fancy a burger or two :smiley:

There is a map on their site or if you are using sat nav, when I got there it says its on the left when in actual fact its on the right :roll:

This sounds a funny question, but can I just go and spectate cause I dont know if I want to put my new car on it, lol

Course you can spectate, but half way through you will want to put your car on. its nail biting at first but nothing to worry about.

Pretty cool being able to stand by your car as its flat out :wink:

No more so than you flooring it going down the road, if anything blew or gave up it would have done it anyways on the road
