Selling a Mitsubishi 3000GT

Relative in Thailand is cutting back on his visits to the UK in semi-retirement, so decided to sell his 1999 3000GT that’s been his transport here for many (over 12 I think) years. I said I’d help him as I’m at least in the country! Where is the best place to sell it? Here? Or are there 3000GT specialists who would be interested? I don’t know a lot about the car’s spec and I am not near to it (it’s in Seaford on the south coast and I am in North London). But I can say that the spec includes 2995cc 325BHP V6 driving a 6-speed heavy duty Getrag gearbox, full-time 60/40 4WD, 4-wheel steering, active front/rear spoilers, black leather (on front only). He loves to drive it, and kept it rather than rent less interesing or fun cars on his periodic visits here to oversee his UK business and relatives.

Any advice or interest in the car would be helpful. It’s currently SORN due to him being away for over a year. I’m looking for ways to make this easier to sell given my distance away. All suggestions gratefully received!

Hi @greg2 - unfortunately only full members are allowed to sell items on the forum. And you can’t sell other owners cars on here.

Cheers,

James

Hi James

Oh dear. :triumph: Didn’t intend to transgress. Was really just looking for suggestions as to where there might be specialist dealers in Mitsubishis or 3000 particularly. Don’t know much about them myself. Though I’d have been happy to find interest from anyone looking for one. And I was also intending to facilitate the connection with my cousin and any potential buyer - don’t want be the seller as such. Paul has tried to do something himself from Thailand but it’s been hard to get anywhere. But I can understand the potential for dealers to ghost onto the forum. Apologies.

I’ll be a bit cheeky though  - Do you have any advice yourself as to how I can make this easy/easier for me, given your expertise in the marque?

Best Regards

Greg
