My wife discovered Sky Insurance http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/modified.html on the MR2 owners’ site which is their group insurer and claims to provide specialist cover for cars like ours.
If anyone here is about to renew, get them to quote and let us know how they compare.

that’s with 10 years protected no claims bonus and the only mods i’ve got are tinted windows and aftermarket alloys.
it’s not often you can get a nice surprise from an insurance company - so i’m well happy with that quote :lol:
