After having a word with Marty ( Roadkill ) about this event, I decided to ring them & see what was on offer, It appears you can go for the day or weekend ( Sat & Sun ) Camping is free of charge if you wish to stay over, bit of a party event Sat eves with a bar as well, Entry to the raceway is £10 either day or £20 for the weekend, unlimited runs are £20 one day or £35 for the weekend, as Marty says facillities are a bit basic but there are snacks available throughout the weekend. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day, track time is Saturday 10am-6pm & Sunday 11am-5pm, Sounds a decent day out to me if you want to see what your car will do on the 1/4 mile run, all electronic printouts after each run etc. I will be there most likely on the Saturday ( more run time ) just wondered if anyone else is interesed ?
I might just be tempted to come down and cheer you guys on. Maybe see if we can’t squeeze a bit more out of your NA Julian? You should see if Mike wants to come for some more head to head stuff!
Hmmm! If my diary is free i might come to this as it is only down the road, plus i expect there are a few of you NA owners wanting to see what my car is capable of doing, as i am myself
looks like il definately be going to this and looks like the other half actually is paying some interest and wants to go as well, i cant believe it !! …
Im just curious to see how bad my car does and embarass myself really …
Should have a few more things done to her before then as its quite a way off so hopefully will be a bit quicker than she is now without blowing her up(the car, not the missus)
went for a drive to find this place, but there was loads of traffic due to event Global Gathering??
Was it the same venue or did I just not find the strip…oh well found a nice pub instead…
There is a HUGE market there.
They queue up for the market on the right, and turn right into it.
The strip is straight on under a overhead barrier, a bit like the start at Santa Pod.
Pay for entry to the event there, pay for running when you get the car scrutineered.
