What time are people thinking of getting there, Myself & Diane are looking at being there for around 9-30 - 10am

Well I`ve not been to this one before, but it is usually more or less to make sure your car is road worthy & no bits falling off etc etc

Great day out yet again, Big thanks to everyone who made the effort to turn up, Great to meet old & new faces, Good weather, Good company & plenty of 1/4 runs, I again was the slowest of the GTOs with a 15.317 @ 94.530 but hey, at least I have a go & not only talk the talk :roll:
One or two including Diane were taking piccies, so I expect one or two to be posted up later, I personally am looking to do another 1/4 mile day this year, slow or not, I love it

Great day out. Good fun although the smell of my clutch burning made me nervous. Still did three runs and got my ass kicked by a load of 2.1 pinto MK2 escorts…■■■■■■ loud cars. :ignore: Some serious old school draggers.
Some nutter was even running his CL65 V12 down the strip…only did 13s if I recall, but a lovely car none the less.
Much better than the pod for runs and general attitude.

Just a few more piccies of some of the monsters that were running on Saturday, as for the Mercedes SL65 AMG he just happened to be my first opponent :oops: no competition really. I will be there again on the 13th October for the public 1/4 mile track day.
Last but not least, these daredevils were 9yrs old !!

Looked good … gutted i couldnt make this one as i needed to be in the shop this weekend in the end … unfortunately we all know that bread and butter has to come first , otherwise theres no GTO …

Pass on my thanks for the photos. I must admit the GTO does look good on the drag strip. It would of nice to see some of the big guns running? Maybe next time.
