SOLD - Genuine Mark 4 GTO modified forged 523 BHP

After much debate I am joining the fallen and decided to selling my GTO.

This is a genuine Mark 4 Twin Turbo. Production Oct 98 and a 99 model

It was released as one of the first production Mark 4 GTO and the full Z16A model as it was a customer order. Imported in 2000 when it was 13 months old by Mr. Saatchi of the infamous marketing company Saatchi & Saatchi, it was used as a promotional tool for the company. It then sat in a london specialist showroom for two years before being purchased by a pilot who owned it for 7 years.

Main picture link below but please look in my “garage” under merlinsabre

This car has all the original paintwork confirmed and never been in an accident. It has all the original Japanese service books and stamps along with every MOT, service bill and receipt since landing in the UK.

Now modified by Ben at Eurospec it has ALL brand new parts purchased at Amber sports with full receipts for all parts and the labour work with full spec engine rebuild with forged internals.

I have spent and detailed with receipts over £35k on the car. Just been serviced and flew its MOT this week.

As far as I am aware its the only forged genuine mark 4 in the UK and not ashamed to say that - If I am wrong and there is another then my apologies.

The stats - 523 BHP with 565 FtLbs Torque and its can happily run on full power all day as the car has been built to do this. The new engine has done under 2k miles since I got it back and importantly its the original engine rebuilt to this high spec. Original mileage on the clock stands at 101k but all verified from import in 2000 so its genuine and proven.

Sensible enquires please PM me and offers over £10k for starting price.
I am in no rush to sell the car, I love driving it and yesterday passing a pub the peoples faces as I drove up to them was just the best and coming around the car to see what it was!

Marcus

do you not mean … SAATCHI and SAATCHI ??

Beautiful car, love the colour.

Happy new year to all and renewed attempts to sell my GTO.

If anyone is interested then PM me or email [email protected]

If no interest then I am open to suggestions of a “group members greement” for breaking the car (meaning discuss among youselves what you want and group purchase to take care away whole and break elsewhere) which is a shame for a true and genuine mark 4

Marcus

Be a shame to see it broken Marcus , but as you know it is worth more as a sum of its parts than it would be as a whole . Crazy really , as its easily worth the 10k , it just puts people off when they see a car on ebay for 1500 quid then think a few quid can be thrown at it to make it 500hp .As we know it doesn’t happen .

Good luck with the sale , hope someone takes it on as a whole car

Craig 8)

Hi Craig and very true. The car sold before Xmas at £11.500 but the guy couldnt get sensible insurance so backed out and yes the problem is you can buy one on ebay for £1500 but as we all know youre getting rubbish and unreliable at that money.

Then to obtain that elusive 500 bhp in alot of cases its thrown together and realrey sustainable. But with respect there are those who will do it properly as I have personally witnesseed but i have seen far too many GTOS claiming 500 hp and they run it once or near damn it but never again as they had the guts thrashed out of them to do it once.

This GTO is the only import I have ever seen with history from Japan and full history since its import in 2000 to present. I doubt one will be found like this again or if so, extremely rare.

Never accident damaged and completely stock from the inside and out- Serial numbered matcing car too.

Hello and quick update. I have been offered £7000k to trade the car in against another high performance car (minus the Rays). The dealer has no interest in my car but has been valued at TRADE for £7k. He is just planning to send the car onto a clearing house where its been under wriitten

i would dearly love to sell this car to a club member or their friend etc for the same money if its of interest. The car is going to be sold this saturday providing I dont back out

Marcus

Arrrggh a genuine 99 spoiler has to be worth that alone!!!

Hi Gavin

Thw whole car has been independently valued at £16000 and the two exporters who bidded on the car have told me they will be retailing it at over £10k and one is looking to export back to Japan as there is a growing market for them again

Hi Marcus, got your text the other night - unfortunately I don’t have a spare set of wheels :frowning:

I do know to a set of 17’s that have legal tyres on, they were on my car a couple of years ago but have sat in a mate’s industrial unit in Shropshire since he bought them off me and never used them. Let me know if they’re of any use.

I would have had this last September if I had seen the ad.
Spent my money on a 320d.

Dont undersell it. So desireable. If i get the cash saved by summer or win the lottery its mine :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hello all

Sadly and gutted feeling the GTO is now sold but it remains with a GTO enthusiast which makes me smile alot more and also one up on the dealer who I caught out on saturday as he actually had retailed the car on for alot more than he offered part ex.

The one comment that sticks with me about the person who bought this was " It’s a no brainer = why spend all that more money to build my car up when its already been done and its an actual Mark 4"

Thanks to those in the club that have been so supportive and my special thanks to:

Andre, Ben, Craig, Gavin Naish, Julian, Paul W and Scott GTO

Glad its gone to a good home Marcus 8) The big question though is what has it made way for ???

Craig

Hi Craig,

With the GTO doing less than 800 miles per year and its ability to go like a scalded cat yet I drive it like Miss Daisy, this was one of the reasons for selling but the main thing, is that two people I knew lost their lives last December.

It made me realise live is so short and you just never know - My dad has always loved Jaguar’s since he was a little boy and I made a promise to myself that one day I would travel back home to see him in one…

So Craig…its the final edition of the XKR 4.2S Supercharger (only 100 made) not as powerful as the GTO but it will make my dad very happy and thats what matters at present.

Nice cars , its not all about the brute force acceleration either , its nice to have a sustained comfortable cruiser knowing it still has plenty on tap if you require

Craig

Hi Craig
Completely agree and on saturday when we took the car to a long stretch of road and slowed it to a virtual stop and then hit the gas, it didnt hang around and watched the front of it step up nicely -Never heard a supercharger before and what a sound - just like the sound in the original Mad Max film

I think it will raise plenty of smiles and as you said sustained power but then again the GTO used to run around for hours on end and it never missed a beat

Hi,

Very nice choice of car, I hope you enjoy it

Neil.

Thanks Neil and appreciate your help over the weekend

Well done on the sale Marcus. I hope it has gone to a good home. I have been trying to blow mine up so I could buy yours! Nevermind.

Hi James and thanks - you’re one of the guys that convinced me to build the beast
